How Do You Solder LED Bulbs?

Make sure you don’t cut the insulation, as you’ll end up ruining the LED light. Next, cut the wires to half an inch and strip off the insulation. Remove the resistors and LEDs from the board.

The LED strips are segmented, so you need to solder each one separately. The strip has an epoxy sealant covering the top end, making it waterproof. If you cut this sealant, you’ll ruin the LED light. Also, the copper pads are located on the bottom of the strip. When soldering the strips, make sure the copper pads are on the top side of the strip. As a result, you’ll have a perfectly good-looking LED light.
